I woke up this morning and said "what can I watch this morning at 8am?" Of course, the answer was simple; MANIAC COP!
Surely I'm jesting, but I'd heard so much about Larry Cohen and it's a cult classic and has Bruce Campbell, Richard Roundtree and Tom Atkins. It just disappointed me as have most of Cohen's scripts lately. There was no "meat" to this story. Killing begins, randomly, and it's just all loosely connected until we get the origin scene, then its just not really explained. I learned from IMDB that you learn why the Maniac is the way he is - but you have to wait until the 3rd and final film, but I dont think I'm revising this franchise any time soon.
