Review of Maniac Cop (1988) by Eric R — 21 May 2010
As I am tracking down films involving the wonderful Bruce Campbell at the moment 'Maniac Cop' was a must-see. I had seen it a long-time ago and had at the time (noting I would have been about 10) found it scary.
Well, its not scary, not even a bit. Actually its a bit dull and I would actually liken it a bit more to films such as 'Cobra' and 'Dirty Harry' - more of a cop thriller with a supernatural element.
I had a little nap towards the end. Bruce Campbell is under-utilised (as usual) unfortunately. Its not bad though, just not that horrific.
