Review of Maniac (1980) by Emalee A — 10 Feb 2008
Now, this is what I'm talkin' bout! A strong slasher with actors who are actually good and an interesting story. Plus, it actually made me jump, which most slashers from the 80s can't do. My favorite bits would be down in the subway and the ending where...well, you'll have to see.
My only complaints (this part may contain spoilers) are why a person would let someone into their house purely because they happen to take a picture of them in the park and the actors who did the voiceover for young Frank and his mom at the end. Those were the most monotoned deliveries I've ever heard.
