Interesting tale about a schizoid serial killer who has a serious mother problem. His own mother used to abuse him, but he misses her a lot and now he "keeps her alive" by killing and scalping random women.
Brilliant performance by Joe Spinell as the maniac Frank Zito. The rest of the cast is pretty awful, but since it is a low budget movie you'll forgive most of the nonsense and the (partially) unbelievable story.
Interesting movie for sure, if you like old slasher movies with a seriously fucked up killer.
