Review of Manhunter (1986) by Corpse M — 23 May 2009
Not as good as Silence, but it is disturbing and taut and a fine standalone. Brian Cox is a good Lector, but has 3 or 4 minutes tops of screen time here. William Peterson is okay, but rather one-note and probably mis-cast.
Mann's direction is at times too stylish for a movie of this sort.
