Review of Manhunter (1986) by Amit D — 15 Mar 2008
This movie is surprisingly good. Though Dr. Hannibal Lecktor (That's what they call him here, not Lecter) is not featured very prominently in this flick, Brian Cox does a wonderful job portraying Lecktor.
William Petersen as ex-FBI agent Will Graham is very good and Tom Noonan as Francis Dolarhyde aka "The Tooth Fairy" is top notch. Michael Mann's direction is superb. Using Iron Butterfly's "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" in the climax had a mind-blowing effect! A must watch for Hannibal fans.
