Review of Manhunter (1986) by Mickey D — 26 Apr 2008
Mann's thriller remains interesting twenty years after release, although it isn't a genre classic like 'Lambs'. It's a very Eighties film (beware of some horrific synth music). The high points are definitely the scenes with Lecktor (sic), played magnificently by Brian Cox.
The bad: the climactic face-off between The Tooth Fairy and Will Graham is clumsily done, even if it is set to nearly the whole of 'In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida' .
