Okay, I watched this movie again recently. It is definitely a little dated (with the music and the Miami Vice feel), but it is still far superior than both Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs. I have fond memories of Shriekback as a teen, so I really didn't mind some of the music.
William Peterson, Brian Cox and Tom Noonan were fantastic!
