Review of Manhunter (1986) by Patrick C — 16 Feb 2009
The last time I saw this film I was in middle school and it truly freaked me out. The freak out factor is lower now but it is still a rather sinister and disturbing tale, much more psychological than I was able to understand at the time.
Peterson does a great job and Brian Cox is a passable Hannibal Lechter. Worth the watch if only for Michael Mann's minimalist production including sound and stark sets. Well done.
