Review of Manhunter (1986) by Dan G — 14 Aug 2009
Good performances all around, especially from Brian Cox and Tom Noonan, but Jesus Christ that 80s aesthetic is distracting. I'm convinced absolutely nothing from that decade has aged well. Never thought I'd see a film based on a Thomas Harris novel end on a freezeframe with "Heartbeat" playing in the background.
I almost expected Crockett, Tubbs and an alligator to pop up somewhere.
