Review of Manhunter (1986) by Jason L — 04 Nov 2009
Similar yet at the same time quite different from its later version red dragon. based on the same book this film focuses more on the detective and the ways he tries to catch the serial killer. strong typical michael mann visuals and directing style make this film a suspensful thriller about going into the mindset of the killer in order to catch him and the danger of loosing oneself in doing so.
introducing hannibal lector, the amazing, brian cox. gets under your skin every time.
