Review of Manhunter (1986) by Tim G — 24 May 2011
A look into a family killer's mind starting from the first seconds of the film. Intense and devoted to lack of happy moments throughout keeps the audience into the film. Uses great camera work and light textures to make truly memorable images of characters and the scenery around them.
When the film finally shows the killer and his crazy, insane motives and actions, things finally seem realistic. Catching this killer seems quite difficult, he seems more like a phantom, ace, killer who will never get caught, unless some luck or "inside man" by the Feds.
I thought because of that, their should have more about this family killer and his life other than a few conversations with some blind lady. Mixing the two worlds together finally forces the issue and this movie has a satisfying conclusion.
8/10.
