Review of Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993) by Jay B — 18 Feb 2011
I think this movie holds distinction for me as being both Woody Allen's last good light comedy and his most rewatchable movie. Woody and Diane Keaton have such perfect chemistry as they jump back into their personas from the 70's.
Its great to see them dealing with getting older and reevaluating their relationship now that their son has moved out. Alan Alda and Anjelica Huston fit in perfectly as the two temptations trying to lead Allen and Keaton's relationship astray.
The movie also contains one of my favorite film references ever, with the shoot out in the movie theater full of mirrors as Lady From Shanghai plays.
