Review of Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993) by Ryan N — 30 Mar 2012
"Manhattan Murder Mystery" is essentially a sequel to Annie Hall, if Annie and Alvy had married. This movie proves to be hilarious and is a return to Allen's "early, funny films".
It also marks the end of Allen's almost perfect streak of great films. Following this and Bullets Over Broadway, Allen would make films repeating the same themes from his early classic films and he would never reach the quality of his best films again until 2011 with "Midnight in Paris".
