The promise of Gable, Powell, and Loy sharing the screen is better in theory than actuality, albeit I have a feeling it's only because this film seemed "rushed." For a better pairing of Loy and Gable, I'd suggest Wife vs.
Secretary; and, of course, for the best of the Powell/Loy films, turn to The Thin Man series.
