Review of Manhattan (1979) by Not A — 21 Oct 2008
The Neurotic New Yorker is to Woody Allen what the Tramp was to Charlie Chaplin. Allen seems to play the exact same character in every film he's ever been in, but he's so good at it. This film is a tribute to both that city which he loves so much and the idea of love itself (more specifically, how insane it can be at times).
