Review of Manhattan (1979) by Isabelle P — 23 Aug 2010
The Opening Sequence: George Gershwin's rhapsody in blue, candid footage of Manhattan and Woody Allen's unmistakable voice-over nervously stumbling through the writing of his opening paragraph.
.. This is the film I wish I had made. To see for the sheer love of Gershwin, New York and Woody Allen at his absolute best. Movies rarely get better than this.
