Review of Manhattan (1979) by Jake W — 16 Oct 2009
First of all, let me start with saying the cinematography is mind-blowing and is probably the best of Manhattan. The Gershwin score is also...mind-blowing. The film is eloquently done in black-and-white and suits it quite well.
The ensemble is great and writing is classic Woody Allen. Phenomenal flick and I think this is the quintessential film about New York, period.
