Review of Manhattan (1979) by Ricky L — 13 Mar 2010
A meandering, comical look at relationships by Woody Allen at his zenith. Lacks the heart of 'Annie Hall' (Isaac is less likable than Alvy Singer) or the plot of 'Hannah and her Sisters,' (Michael Caine's story is more interesting than Isaac's) but does contain some of his greatest lines, and undoubtedly the finest cinematography in any of his films, with an opening that is definitely his most iconic.
