Review of Manhattan (1979) by Jason J — 02 Oct 2011
Manhattan is somehow portrayed as a romantic comedy but it's much more than that. It's a movie on love, life, feelings, honesty, creativity, and mostly importantly, the city that Woody Allen adores, Manhattan.
Certainly this movie is well acted and expertly written but I think what really shines is the absolute stunning beauty of it. Some shots are simply some of the best frames in movie history. George Gershwin's music also contributes to the greatness of this movie.
A must-see for movie lovers.
