New York City is perhaps the only character large enough to overshadow Allen's trademark narcissism, and it appropriately stars in this film which encompasses byproducts of urban living, young adulthood, liberal self indulgence, and social exposition, fused together by an eye for city beauty, a reverence for history, and a timeless modern pulse.
