Review of Manhattan (1979) by Mark D — 31 Dec 2014
As expected, a very well written story. I really cannot stand Woody Allen, though, and don't see how any woman could find him attractive. Yeah, I get the sense of humor thing, but he's so obnoxious. (waits for someone to comment about much I'm like Woody Allens character in my thoughts and views).
The relationship with him and the 17-year old girl is a bit pedo-creepy, and too close to real life for him. Why Mariel Hemingway won awards for this role is baffling as well, as I didn't think she was that good.
The gale guy was an idiot, and I just wanted to punch him.
I still lik4ed the movie overall, but it's most certainly overrated.
