Review of Manglehorn (2015) by Joshua L — 03 Apr 2018
Al Pacino gives a very nice and subtle performance in Manglehorn. The film itself is an acquired taste for sure, as is with most of David Gordon Green's films. The story is not very intriguing or deep.
More or less this film works more as a light character study that focuses on a man who has spent most of his life in regretful pain over the loss of the woman he truly loved. Pacino is a master at revealing deep sorrow and pain through the eyes of this character.
Overall, for me the film is worth watching for Pacino's performance.
