A really bland character that isn't interesting enough to base a movie around. Pacino at seems to be trying, but much like with his performance in The Humbling, it's too low key and sleep inducing.
Strange to criticize Pacino for keeping the energy too low and minimalist. The script is probably what fails the most here. There's just unfortunately nothing interesting happening on screen. A small misfire from David Gordon Green.
