Review of Mandy (2018) by Patricia S — 13 Sep 2018
This was like a B movie from the 70's. It's an adolescent male fantasy--violence and general weirdness. The writing wasn't good enough to get a passing grade in a high school creative writing class--even with grade inflation.
The music score was loud, annoying cacophony. The high point of the move was Nicholas Cage, who made faces in lieu of scripted words. There seems to be an Emperor's New Clothes phenomenon going on with this movie.
