Sequel to the superior Dogville, shot in the same way on a soundstage with minimal set and props. This doesnâ??t matter, you forget about it as you get involved in the storey, it only become obvious when the actors have to mime such as knocking a door that isnâ??t there.
It is just like watching a stage play. Bryce Dallas Howard fits in well replacing Nicole Kidman. The storey is well told but not as powerful as in Dogville. If you want to see it make sure you have seen Dogville first.
I am looking forward to Washington, the final instalment of Lars von Trierâ??s unusual trilogy due out in 2009.
