This is an epic film in many way, firstly at 2h 19m it is certainly long but it doesn't feel it.
At times given the subject matter it makes uncomfortable viewing especially when accompanied by the dramatic film score.
I really enjoyed this film as it filled in lots of gaps in my knowledge. Idris Elba is fantastic as Nelson Mandela and I certainly recommend it when it goes on general release on January 3rd.
