Powerful biopic with excellent performances. It pulls plenty of punches whilst remaining fairly sensitive to the subject matter. Based upon Mandela's biography the film faithfully follows his career, family life, divorces and political activities. Despite its length the film did not feel overtly long and was emotionally gripping.
It is a fitting tribute to a great man.
