Review of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom (2013) by Ridgley W — 24 Jan 2014
Brilliant central performances - the film itself was forced to skip through large periods of time where (relatively) nothing happened but we didn't really get a real understanding of why Mandela's position and ideas changed over that time.
Also the period from his release to the day of the vote appeared rushed. Still, it's a film that's worth seeing if only to remind you of the story of Mandela and the liberation of South Africa from apartheid.
