Review of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom (2013) by Jesus C — 03 Dec 2013

Although I would break this movie into 3 parts: (1) Mandella, The Early Years, (2) Mandella, The Prison Years & Mandella, The Glory Years, it's still one Long Walk to Freedom. I never understand why they spend so much time on making you feel he was in prison forever when we can not experience that ourselves unless we've been there.

I feel it's what he became that's ultimately important to the world and they just let that go. He is one of the "THREE" greatest figures of the 20th Century and that is all that I wanted to see.

I think everyone should see the film though it's an amazing performance from Idris Elba & Naomie Harris! Loving, forgiving that what he's about!
