Review of Manchester by the Sea (2016) by Arum Padma O — 19 Feb 2017
Theoretically it contains everything that I like, the story that just "that", so realistic and unpretentious, but that's also the problem. It needs a bit more kick, their cathartic moments slipped in so undramatically, they give you angst but don't give you space to grief.
That ended up being impersonal.
