Review of Manchester by the Sea (2016) by Bubba L — 20 Mar 2017
Other than the accents and vernacular of true Massechuessettes, this movie had nothing interesting. I rarely disagree so violently with the Tomatometer and audience score, but this movie deserves only 2 stars.
If anyone thinks brother Ben is a flat, emotionless actor, his lil' brother shows us all how to really be awkward. And for those of you saying that was what the character was supposed to represent then I guess Carrot Top should only accept parts where he has to have red unruly hair.
Casey has one flashback scene where he comes home to embrace his three children and wife. That was a moving scene. Everything else was deadpan sad and required little acting. Not the feel good movie of the year.
