And the Most Depressing Movie Award goes to........... Manchester by the Sea. Great Acting, good story, but it doesn't really have an ending. I kept waiting for the character's redemption or a satisfying end but it there was none.
The movie just stops. I go to the movies to be entertained, to be inspired, to have fun. This movie, despite the great performances, is just so depressing. Hence, the oscar award.
