Review of Manchester by the Sea (2016) by Mayank A — 30 Mar 2017
The movie has a dour undercurrent to it with flashes of sweet humor but it does seem hollow at times considering the tragic happenings. The highlight of course is the acting of Casey Affleck with his emotional baggage from past, this slow unfolding of the past is done up masterfully by the direction and cleaver screenplay.
While the movie is good, it's not an entertainer.
