Review of Manchester by the Sea (2016) by Toni N — 28 May 2017
2 hours and 13 minutes of my life that I can't get back! I truly dont understand the good reviews this movie has had. There is no beginning middle or end. There is no plot or storyline that has a conflict with a resolution.
It tells a story with no conclusion or situation that is overcome or settled in any manner. Basically its another story about "a few weeks in the life of", but who wants to pay money to see someone else's crappy situation with no resolution, we just have a family with a bad situation and people that aren't dealing with it well.
If I wanted to see that, I could leave the theater and just watch any ordinary family for a few days.
