Review of Manchester by the Sea (2016) by Andre M — 14 Jul 2017
Casey Affleck does a good job of portraying the broken, socially awkward man who suffered enormous tragedy in his life, but doesn't really change even after the new circumstances thrown at him with becoming the guardian to his nephew.
The movie moves along slowly and finishes with an unsatisfying ending where he ends up pretty much the same place he left off.
The best scene of the whole movie comes near the end after 2 hours of watching between Lee and his ex-wife Randi. It's worth seeing that, but otherwise it's not that memorable of a movie.
