Review of Manchester by the Sea (2016) by Chuck T — 30 Mar 2017
I am still trying to figure out why the movie was considered a contender for "Best Picture". The plot, while promising, left too many unanswered questions, and it took a long time for those questions to be asked.
The acting by Casey Afflect was superb, and he deserved the Oscar. Michelle Williams was great as well. But as for the movie, it didn't come close to by expectations.
