Casey Affleck deserved his Best Actor Oscar.
Kenneth Lonergan crafted an emotional masterpiece. Beautiful panning cinematography, deep characterization, with the occasional bleak joke. Lonergan has made a modern day, New England tragedy with Casey Affleck diving into his role as the hopeless Lee Chandler. I highly recommend Manchester by the Sea, but be warned: you'll cry.
