'Management' is one of those kinds of movies that can't decide what kind of movie it actually wants to be. It starts off feeling like an awkward indie comedy, then about halfway through it decides to be a late night comedy/romantic comedy like a cross between 'A Lot Like Love' and 'Saving Silverman'.

By the end, the whirlwind of genres just mesh together to form a incoherent mess that wasn't worth the journey to get there. The unfortunate thing is that I haven't liked Steve Zahn in a role since 2001.

This particular character wasn't unbearable, but his actions and flip-floppiness make him unrelatable and thus unbeleivable. Aniston was the wrong actress for this role. They should have cast a Zellweger or a Faris or someone quirky yet serious enough to butt heads with the likes of Zahn.

The thought of someone like Aniston going for someone so unrefined and unapproachable as Zahn's character was certainly far fetched. 2 characters that were thrown in during the middle of the film did catch my eye and were enjoyable during their small parts; Woody Harrelson ('Zombieland') and James Hiroyuki Liao ('Prison Break').

I had a hard time finding any connection or feelings towards this film and in the end I was left confused about the overall choice of actors and random subjects that were brought up throughout (like hotel paintings, midnight basketball, and Buger King Whopper vouchers.

Talk about random).
