Review of Management (2009) by Naughtia N — 04 Oct 2011
An awkward night hotel manager falls in love with an art dealer who happens to stay at the hotel he manages. He impulsively follows her back to Baltimore, where shes from, to try and and win her over even though he is odd and essentially out of her league in conventional standards.
It's a rom-com, and its pretty funny and well written. My main problem with the film is jsut that the premise is a little ridiculous. In essence, Steve Zahn's character is essentially stalking this woman and then she happens to fall for him.
It's all just rather absurd. Steve Zahn is quite good a playing this awkward detached character and Aniston pretty much just plays the same role that she plays in almost everything she is in. Although the film has a good amount of twists and turns, the story is rather predictable, as most rom-coms are, and the biggest strength of the film has got to be the two leads and the supporting cast (particularly Woody Harrelson and James Hiroyuki Liao).
