Review of Man with a Movie Camera (1929) by Justin M — 20 May 2008
Completely different take on the concept of what a film is. Vertov had some good ideas that I don't think should be completely discounted, such as the separation of film from the narrative form. It's a unique and idealistic vision, but one that I don't think will ever be fully realized.
