Review of Man with a Movie Camera (1929) by Sinead L — 15 Jun 2010
Unusual and hypnotic. I'm not usually a fan of this kind of experimental film and I surprised myself by staying awake through the entirety of it. It was brilliantly crafted and cleverly edited - making it a cinematic masterpiece.
I watch the film with Michael Nyman's soundtrack, and his music kept me entranced. It is strangely beautiful, although I don't think I could sit through it again.
