Review of Man Up (2015) by Eric H — 22 Sep 2015
Man Up is a relatively straightforward romcom in the modern style ie. loaded up with bad language and sex talk. Simon Pegg infuses Jack with his usual likability, Rory Kinnear makes Sean genuinely funny as well as a bit creepy, and US actress Lake Bell is superb - she delivers a very funny and vulnerable performance in a flawless suburban English accent, and she is mousily attractive without being glamorous while doing so.
Don't expect any surprises, and enjoy the affability of it, and you'll probably have quite a good time.
