While basically being a rom-com, the entire premise of the film (girl is mistaken for blind date) gives it more options than the usual fare. Sure, there are ridiculous parts; after all, it does star Simon Pegg, but there is something extra about this movie that made it enjoyable to watch.
As other commentators have said, the ending is a bit silly, but it's also fun.
