Review of Man on Wire (2008) by Colin P — 09 Jan 2010
Eh. I expected more from its high rating. It was interesting and well constructed, but I found myself hating everyone the documentary was about. It glorifies someone who, despite doing something pretty awesome, was still more full of himself than he deserved to be.
At one point, someone asked him why he did the stunt, and he said something whimsical in response like just because or something dumb like that, but it was pretty obvious that he did it for the same reason most people perform a stunt: attention.
