Review of Man on Wire (2008) by Adam M. F — 28 Jul 2010
Didn't think it could live up to the hype; however, I found it masterfully simple and beautiful.
Lots of negative press focused on the "ego" of it's star.
This is a very American criticism on a very non-American story/film. Being asked "why, why" misses the simplicity of the motives and actions. Sure there is ego involved, but not in the camera hogging American way but in the way an artists says "I can tell this story better than anyone else.".
Really great honest film.
