Review of Man on Wire (2008) by Jason W — 23 Jan 2011
A very engaging film about the pursuit of what has to be the most quixotic dreams of all time. Cleverly assembled to make the real-life details play like a Hollywood screenplay (there must be an adaptation project in the works somewhere), and mixed shadowy recreations of events with original footage and on-film interviews this documentary is just as exciting as any bank heist (and no one even gets shot).
If the line between genius and madness is a thin one, Petit surely walked it like no one else.
