Review of Man on Wire (2008) by Liesa W — 29 Aug 2011
This documentary about Philippe Petit's dream of walking a tightrope between the World Trade Center towers features footage from the 70s, intertwined with modern-day interviews with the team that made the dream possible.
It's pretty riveting and truly amazing that it actually transpired considering all the things that could have gone wrong. Seeing footage of the Twin Towers is also fascinating, considering they're no longer there.
It's a good thing the world has people like Petit that are just a little bit crazy and think outside the lines of 'normal' life.
