Review of Man on Wire (2008) by Sawyer F — 25 Oct 2011
Good little documentary about an astounding event--the time a tight rope walker sneaked into the WTC with his friends, used an arrow to help start a line between the two towers and then walked, danced, and laid down on the wire for 45 minutes. Amazing in itself the film gets an extra layer of interest in all the shots of the WTC soon after it opened and wasn't even completed yet. There is a particularly haunting shot of Petit walking the wire while a jetliner flies by overhead.
Well worth seeing.
