Review of Man on Wire (2008) by Ray H — 25 Dec 2009
This movie was just OK. The story is of the planning and execution of a walk on a wire between the World Trade Center buildings in 1974. Most of the film is of interviews of the participants many years after the event. There is no film footage of the tight rope walker on the wire. They use still photos of the event instead. There is old footage of his training.
The principal character, Phillippe Petit, is an interesting/odd/unique character. This film was mildly engaging. It unfolds in an interesting way. It seemed a bit pasted together to me.
